Bring a snack for snack time. Snack time is between 10:50-11:00 and a lunch-type snack works well.
The children could try to “share” their snacks, so watch out for choking and allergy foods.
Nursing is welcome. Keep in mind that there will be a distraction factor that might make nursing more difficult.
Interactive levels among children are a major part of the curriculum. We will be teaching them the correct way to interact, with a lab environment of social training such as sharing and taking turns. This is their first introduction to developing social skills, so expect learning situations to arise.
Most toddlers starting this class needing morning naps. Plan to give them an early cat-nap before the 10:00 class time until they outgrow it. If they have dropped their morning nap, plan for a great afternoon nap after Mommie & Me class.
Wear comfortable clothes. You will be moving a lot. Moms that participate in all three Mommie & Me programs believe that this is the highest energy class of the three.
You will have ‘mommy time” during this class, but it tends to be during snacks. The children are on the move all the time!
Be patient with the progress your child will make. You consistency will pay off, just be patient.
Learn for one another! You will see ideas modeled by other moms that will be great parenting tools in your own homes. Look for them!
